A member of Pop Korean boy band FT Island “Jang Geun Suk” has donated $1.2 million USD to HanYang University that revealed on 23 November 2011. The news was shared by HanYang University’s donation website and then students started spreading the word.
Jang Geun Suk was revealed on HanYang University’s donation website under the name “Theater Major Jang Geun Suk ” with amount $1.2 million USD mentioned on the side on 22 November 2011 and then his name deleted on 23 november 2011, raising speculation over the validity of Jang Seun Suk ‘s endowment.
HanYang University said they will create a Jang Geu Suk Scholarship Fund for him.
